We live in a world where it is getting harder and harder to get by. This is why many opt to live the simple life. A life where we do not need to worry about many useless luxuries. Anyone can start their own farm right in their very own backyard at home. For those still unsure of its benefits and success, you can start small. Nobody is going to judge you for the size of your farm, especially if you are still a beginner. This community is also incredibly friendly and helpful, so do not hesitate to ask for help and tips when starting out. Just like any other situation, there could be unexpected problems that we might encounter. In this given scenario, dealing with certain pests is one of the most common problems among farmers. Out of numerous problems you could come across while farming, one of them are pests. For instance, you might find gophers in your garden. Gophers are rodents that eats the roots of your crops, preventing it from growing healthily.

They pose a big threat to our farms. Not only will they destroy the crop we so worked hard for, but they could also destroy our farms altogether. They do this by burrowing holes right under our beloved plants, and eat them right then and there.

Do not be fooled by its cute appearance. This creature is highly dangerous. They are small, yet terrible. They carry a number of diseases that could be deadly to us humans.

If you only want to rid your garden of them without actually killing them, you can use a repellent. It is easy to find many different repellents you can buy in the market, or online. You can also make one at home using the mole plant. Although a famous solution, this does not guarantee success in your mission.

The easiest way to stop them once and for all is trapping them. Granted, they might get killed in this process. There are many different types of traps on the market available to buy. You could also make one by yourself, which is quite a tedious process. What you should use depends on the number of rodents you wish to use it for, how fast you want them out, and their behavior so far.

If this still does not work, you can try to drown them. All you would have to do it fill their tunnel with water and wait for them to react to it. This method does not guarantee their disappearance, but could be worth trying.

Although not obvious, these little creatures also have a few benefits. For instance, they increase soil fertility. This is the result of the organic matter they left behind.

Starting a new hobby can be very intimidating at first. But with a few trials and errors, you just might find it extremely rewarding. In reality, there is more to gain than to lose.
